Rough

So, we just found out today that Jeremy's mom has breast cancer. She hasn't met with a cancer doctor yet, but she will be soon. The good news is that they think they caught it pretty early on.

Haven't we gone through enough this year? Grandpa's open heart surgery, his recovery, his sudden death, Grandma's fall and slow recovery...and now this? The Lord must know we're stronger than I think we are.

I just feel like cancer haunts my life; it killed my grandma, my great-grandma had it, my cousin had it, one of my best friends is still fighting it, and now my mother-in-law has to start fighting.

Sorry, I know this is a depressing entry, but I've just got to get some of these feelings off my chest. Sorry to burden ya'll with it.

Weird...

...it feels like a whole lot has happened since I last blogged, but at the same time, it feels like nothing has happened. Does anyone else ever feel like that?

Anywho, I'm just killing time at work, so I decided to post a blog. I think the only big news is that we got almost all of our deposit back from our old apartment! They only charged to clean the drapes & carpet, which is the bare minimum they charge. =) I was pretty darn excited.

Oh, actually, last weekend we went camping with our friends Ammon, Desiree, and Gideon Hopkins. (Gideon is their son and is about 2 ish). It was a ton of fun, although we did wish that our campsite neighbors hadn't brought their dang radio and played country music all night long. Now don't get me wrong, I like country music. But I don't appreciate it being played loud enough to keep me awake at night.

School starts in about a week and a half, and I'm not really looking forward to it. I'm a little burned out from working all summer and not having much time off. So Jeremy and I are thinking about going on a road trip to Utah with a stop in Rexburg on the way there. It'd be fun to get away for a while and see some of our friends we haven't seen in a while.
