I promised an update, so here goes:
School started the 22nd of last month. My schedule rocks because I only have classes 2 days a week, basically from 1-8 with a 2 hour break in the middle (during which I have to drive out to Riverpoint) So that leaves me 3 days free (well, 4 if you count Saturday) to work. =) I got my old workstudy job back so I'm going to try and frontload my hours this quarter so they'll be all used up by the end of the quarter so if things come up with school or if I end up finding another job I'll have gotten as much out of my award as possible.
Jeremy is taking some rough classes this quarter, but he's doing really well in them so far. He's working at the rock wall at the rec center again and also has a workstudy award that he's going to use at the same place as me. =) He's been really busy, but I'm uber proud of him.
The first week of the quarter we bought a new laptop. It's a Toshiba Satellite and it rocks. We absolutely love it. The old one still worked, but it kept freezing and having tons of problems which were not fun to deal with when you're on a tight timeline to get homework done. We couldn't be happier with our purchase and we're super excited to finally have a computer that works again!
Hmm...what else...I've been doing a few check-ins and check-outs here and there. It's mostly died down since the major crunch time is over, but the 30th was pretty crazy because it was the end of the month. I had 4 people call to schedule checkouts, but I only ended up doing 2 because I had classes from 2-10 that day.
Oh! I found out on Thursday that I don't have to enroll in classes next quarter! I've got one class that I need to finish up (long story short, the professor I was working on it with transferred to WSU and last I heard they weren't sure who was going to teach the class now, so I'll probably have to start over with the new professor. I'll either have to attend class and have the teacher replace my grade from last year, or I'll have to see if the teacher will let me do it independent study.) Either way, I'll only have to schedule work around (at most!) 1 class next quarter, so it'll really free up my schedule for work! So the aim is to find a job this quarter that I can do next quarter (and for however long afterwards.) If not, the backup plan is to take some more classes and get financial aid and workstudy next quarter as well. But, the end is in sight!! I'm so excited!
Anywho, I think that's about it. How about Conference last weekend? Wasn't it AMAZING?!?
