So, we just found out today that Jeremy's mom has breast cancer. She hasn't met with a cancer doctor yet, but she will be soon. The good news is that they think they caught it pretty early on.
Haven't we gone through enough this year? Grandpa's open heart surgery, his recovery, his sudden death, Grandma's fall and slow recovery...and now this? The Lord must know we're stronger than I think we are.
I just feel like cancer haunts my life; it killed my grandma, my great-grandma had it, my cousin had it, one of my best friends is still fighting it, and now my mother-in-law has to start fighting.
Sorry, I know this is a depressing entry, but I've just got to get some of these feelings off my chest. Sorry to burden ya'll with it.
Awww! That totally sucks. Cancer runs in my family too. My aunt Clara died of colon cancer when I was a kid. My aunt Teresa had a cancerous tumor removed from her head 5 years ago; same thing with my dad last year. My mom got a breast cancer removed months ago and went though radiation... They caught it very early so they got to remove it in a very clean way. It is hard, though, and definitely a test to our faith as members of their family.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have her in our prayers.
That really is rough. I guess it is right, you are stronger than you think! Also, it seems like bad things always come in threes. This must be your 3rd of the year. I just hope it is true, that it just comes in threes. What a blessing though, that it was caught early!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Jeremy's mom. Keep us updated how things are going.
ReplyDeleteI'm am so sorry to hear this--just remember that there is so many treatments out there--and the Lord will bless her. Love, Grandma K
ReplyDeleteThat is so frustrating. We also have cancer in my family on both sides, and it's gut-wrenching to watch the toll it takes. I'm glad you got some of those feelings out...I think it really helps to just vent sometimes. I'm sure Jeremy's mom appreciates your love and support, too. Hang in there and know you have friends and family that are thinking about you!
